Associate Account Specialist

Job description

Summary: This position serves as an Associate to the Account Manager by supporting the eCommerce B2B business within the overall account. This role will assist in managing the product life cycle of furniture, textiles, and rug category assortments, own the day-to-day operations and workflows from inception to completion, and proactively and professionally communicate cross-functional teams internally, externally, and with vendors to optimize account sales and growth.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee the product life cycle of all Marketplace SKU assortments from the introduction through the decline phases by ensuring all SKU setup, product data, pricing, and photography submissions are accurate and submitted in a timely fashion, coordinating with Purchasing to maintain proper inventory levels, making sure the PIPs are audited and live on the website, and addressing any discrepancies found to create a seamless customer experience.

Partner with the Digital Team for all required digital assets (i.e. studio photography, CGI, OBJ, 360, etc.) ensuring alignment with brand guidelines for new products, while finding opportunities to update older photography where needed. You'll work collaboratively to create visually appealing and engaging marketing assets that drive customer engagement and conversion.

Partner closely with the Demand Planner to understand eCommerce buys and key investments across each season, providing additional analysis of Ecommerce product performance to help inform buys.

Run open order reports to make sure all in-stock products are properly allocated; transfer inventory where necessary to make sure that all customer orders are fulfilled.

Answer requests from customers’ Buyers and Analysts on backorder statuses and any other customer order questions in a concise and timely manner.

Review Drop Ship Vendor Compliance guidelines for high level view and understanding of account operations. Regularly communicate account compliance updates to internal departments when necessary.

Monitor product Returns & Replacement and Damage & Quality performance via monthly customer data sources to analyze and make recommendations to improve performance and to resolve any escalations, when necessary, with the QC Team and buyers.

Associate Account Specialist

Oversee special projects like Swatch programs, product audits, Partials on Demand, etc. on a daily basis.

Coordinate sample requests from buyers when requested and follow-up on receipt and feedback.

Make recommendations for effective workflow procedures and best practices in partnership with the Account Manager and cross-functional partners.

Strong understanding of brand standards.

Provide general ad hoc support as needed, demonstrating flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to pitch in and support the team in various account growth initiatives.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Minimum 3-4 years of experience in Merchandising, Manufacturing, or eCommerce roles, preferably on major national accounts.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.

Experience with consumer products, preferably furniture, home goods, and textiles.

Able to use logic to interpret CAD files and spec information when reviewing product data. Superior attention to detail required.

High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with OneDrive navigation.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Excellent organizational and time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

WORKING CONDITIONS

On-site requirement in an office.

Ability to sit for long periods of time with some walking up and down stairs.

Duties:

- Manage and optimize online sales channels, including websites, marketplaces, and social media platforms
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities
- Develop and implement digital marketing strategies to drive traffic and increase conversions
- Create and update product listings with accurate descriptions, images, and pricing
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure product availability
- Track and analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to increase sales
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as marketing, operations, and customer service to ensure a seamless online shopping experience
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in e-commerce

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field (preferred)
- Proven experience in e-commerce management or digital marketing
- Proficiency in e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, WooCommerce, or Magento
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
- Knowledge of SEO principles and best practices for optimizing product listings
- Familiarity with digital advertising platforms such as Google Ads or Facebook Ads
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
